Integrations

By taking advantage of its API infrastructure, lexiQA has active integrations with several online CAT tools - specifically MateCat, Smartcat, Transifex, Memsource and Lilt. Using this integration model as a basis, there is a streamlined process for creating a new project with files from these tools and for updating these files with any changes made during the revision in lexiQA's Editor.

File import

In the New project page, under Project files click on the Import icon and select the tool you would like to connect with. Upon choosing, you will be asked to enter either a project link (MateCat) or your API credentials (Smartcat, Transifex, Memsource) or an API key (Lilt). As is the case with uploading offline files into your lexiQA project, when selecting multiple files from one of these tools, remember that only files with the same locale pair can be added to any single project.

MateCat

After saving the MateCat project link, the system analyses the file and detects the number of segments and the locale pair. You can add more project links, but ensure the locale pair is the same for all of them in order to avoid conflicts.

- Full integration with MateCat

If you are a MateCat user, you can also benefit from lexiQA's production integration in MateCat's editor. lexiQA's API-based architecture allows for "live" (as you type) in-translation QA in MateCat for all supported locales, for the majority of lexiQA's error classes (issues like glossaries, tags, etc. are checked by MateCat's native functionality). For more information on this integration, please visit MateCat's support page here.

Transifex

After logging into your Transifex account with your API credentials, you have access to all your project files in your Transifex account. Browse through or search in your account to find the required files, select them and save them into your project.

- Deeper integration with Transifex

If you are a Transifex user, you can also benefit from lexiQA's integration in Transifex's editor. At the click of a button you can produce a detailed QA report or an Inconsistencies report, or redirect to lexiQA's Editor and start working on the necessary corrections. Please get in touch with the Transifex support team at support@transifex.com if you'd like to find out how you can activate this option in your Transifex account.

Memsource

After logging into your Memsource account with your API credentials, you have access to all your project files in your Memsource account. Browse through or search in your account to find the required files, select them and save them into your project.

Smartcat

After logging into your Smartcat account with your API credentials, you have access to all your project files in your Smartcat account. Browse through or search in your account to find the required files, select them and save them into your project.

Lilt

After logging into your Lilt account with your API credentials, you have access to all your project files in your Lilt account. Browse through or search in your account to find the required files, select them and save them into your project.

File pushback

After your revision of the files imported from any of these tools has been completed, go to the Project overview page and click on the Export button corresponding to the required file. You will be prompted to confirm your API credentials for this tool and upon confirmation all the changes you made in that file in lexiQA's Editor are pushed back directly into that file in your CAT tool account. And that's all it takes!
